Costume Design is my jam
Yea I have pushed my love of creating and crafting in the back burner for way to long. So when I was tasked with the opportunity to create a costume, I jumped at it. Here is a costume I created for an event this past summer.
Lessons I learned from creating this costume:
I love working with flowers and glue gun
The backs of the flowers dig into your arm over time creating pain
Sewing every individual flower to the cap is the key to keep them on the swim cap [last time I hot glued the flowers and shortly into wearing the costume, the flowers starting falling off].
The longer skirt was very heavy to wear ultimately falling off my hips
I need to hot glue the big hoop to the flowers to avoid gaps
Doll is a loved character to cosplay
